FYI to all members of MRS:
Raffle tickets for seats in MRS Derby boats were offered to all who wanted to buy tickets. These members will receive a free seat in a boat with a licensed guide but will not be able to enter for Prizes. We have taken a look at all registrations for entering the Derby and have 18 paid and full boats with two more possible boats due to send in the paperwork, making 20 boats in the Derby this year. We have 6 guides without fisher people, so they are unassigned as of now. Two boats will be filled with four of our members who had their tickets drawn at the club picnic on the ninth of August.
WE NEED EIGHT MORE FISHER PEOPLE TO FILL 4 OF THE UNASSIGNED BOATS.
We would appreciate each of you helping us out, finding friends or neighbors who might be interested in joining the 13th Annual Middle Rogue Salmon Derby so we can fill the last four boats. All information about the Derby and how to enter is on our website rogue-steelheaders.org You need to click the DERBY button and a list of documents comes up.
We didn’t draw enough tickets at the picnic to fill boats that might have to be filled by members. Bill Hickey called Bob Turner, the MRS Boat Ticket seller, and they drew five more names of potential winners for seats. Here is the complete list in the order of tickets drawn for your information:
Boat 1 - Joe Steiner and Leo Chilton
Boat 2 - Janos Olah and Doug Byler
Boat 3 - Karen Byler and Cassi Byler
(2nd ticket Janos won and these names are his guests)
Boat 4 - Howard Arnold and Bob Rice
Boat 5 - Ron Portinga and Scott Iversen
Boat 6 - Scott Stevensen and Fred Secco
(Extra Ticket Drawn – Ken Welborn)
These names will move up if any of the above people can’t go.
